*Have been doing a lot of single reviews lately... only because no new albums have peaked my interest yet. My fingers are still crossed for a good future release.
It is crazy how my love for one particular artist can jump out of nowhere and completely take over my iPhone playlists. SIRPAUL, dance music perfectionist, captured my heart with the release of his album, The Horse, recently released a gorgeous music video for his single "Glow" and has been teasing the fact he has been in and out of recording studios working on brand new projects. One of the new projects? A collaboration with music producer Armand Deluxe titled "Touch Me". The two men are working together on a lot more stuff to please the masses, including "Love In Stereo" and a third track which has not yet been revealed. For now, let us focus on the infectious dance number accompanied by the...um .... stimulating cover photo to your top left. Is that you SIRPAUL? Anyway, the pairing of the two artists seems to be a nice, lucrative deal. The new song will command your speakers and make you bow down.
"Touch Me" has Deluxe taking over the production reigns, creating a fast-paced, 90s-inspired, electro beat that invades the mind as soon as the song begins. The producer really embodies what dance music should be, a fun experience that will actually make you want to get up on your feet. As the track progresses, the instrumentals stay simple, never getting too overpowering, but staying consistent in terms of tone and sound. Deluxe's work pairs well with the vocals of SIRPAUL, who continues to impress me with his timing and delivery. When is this man going to disappoint me? From the "ba ba bad a pa ba ba bad a pa"'s to the seductive lyrics of wanting to play rough, SIRPAUL is having a carefree time and it shows in how effortless the entire track comes off. Two minutes in, the artist quickly runs through the hook and becomes my favorite aspect of the song. So good.
Deluxe and SIRPAUL released a song that came out of nowhere, but I am glad to hear the pairing is actually working for them both. The producer may not be a huge household name at the moment, but I have no doubt he could be if he keeps cranking out dance gems such as this one. Seriously, I have not stopped playing it since its premiere. Production is top notch, lyrics are naughty and just how I like them, and SIRPAUL steals the spotlight with another great, addictive performance. "Touch Me" has the possibility of hitting in big, I can already imagine the club scene when this song plays. I'm incredibly pleased. Let's see what else these two talented individuals have in store for us. Take a listen to the new track below.
