In December I kicked off my big year-long Project Pan - I am planning on using up or hitting pan on 20 makeup products throughout the whole year and I'm using 10 products at a time. So, I introduced the first 10 products in December, did an update in February, an update in April, an update in June, and this is my 4th update!
The Hard Candy and Paula's Choice we received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links
At the end of the last update I had reached my goal on 9 products already, which is good - I was hoping I think to be a little farther along, but I still think I'm on track to finish 20 products at the end of the year. I'm doing this project in a rolling project pan, so I'm starting with 10 products and as I hit my goal on them, I'm rolling new products in!
Also, for this project I'm only using makeup products, as I typically go through my skincare products pretty regularly! I'm hoping my makeup use will stay regular; but, of course I'm wearing less makeup over the past few months, but I'm still trying to wear some!
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Perfecting Primer ~ travel size (full size is $8.98 CAN). A skin tone perfecting formula that brightens dull skin while decreasing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores to provide a flawless, smooth finish.
I got a slow start on this product and my goal was to finish it up. I did reach my goal and I finished this on July 3 - I'm always impressed to finish a primer (even if it is a travel size) and I have a lot of primers in my collection, so I like to get through them!
This was a good primer and I think it's a good drugstore option, but I won't be buying a new primer for years while I get through all the ones I have!
Coola SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray ~ $51.00 CAN. A makeup setting spray with 70+ percent certified organic ingredients to reduce shine, refresh UV protection, and keep makeup looking fresh all day.
This was a product that made my favourites last Summer and it I knew it was a product that I really used in the Summer. My goal was to use it up because it does have SPF in it so it will expire! I just reached my goal the day before I took these pictures for my fourth updatE1

I do like this as a light SPF refresher in the Summer over makeup - I think I will consider buying this next Summer. The only downfall is that it does have a strong alcohol smell; but, it does work well!
So, I reached my goals on 2 more product over the past two month; but, I also have one product that I haven't touched at all, so I'm taking it out of the product, calling it a loss and will switch it up with something else:
Colour Pop Lippie Stix "Juice Bar" ~ $5.00. Cool toned berry pink in a Sheer finish, because obviously it’s good for you…
I still have a lot of these lippie stix in my collection and they were some of the first lip products I was really purchasing - this particular shade made my Favourites back in September 2015, so these have been kicking around for a while. This shade is great; but, it's brighter than I remember.

My goal is to finish this product - but after adding this to the project, I realized that is not going to happen it at all. I used it maybe twice in the first few months and I thought if I could get more use out of this in the Summer, I would get a little more momentum with this product. But, I didn't touch it once, so it's time to take it out of the project!
Kind of a bummer not to reach a goal; but, I need to make some space for products that I will use, so here are the other products that I've been working on in this project:
Guerlain Meteorites Highlighting Powder Pearls in 02 Light ~ $77.00 CAN. An illuminating powder made up of light-diffusing pearls that minimize flaws and add brightness to the skin.
I love these Guerlain highlighting balls - I use them as a finishing powder a lot; but, I've had this particular product since April 2014 (I wrote about it in My First Sephora Orders post). I also have a newer version of these in a slightly different finish, so I'd like to move these out of my collection!
These have been in my project pan since the very beginning and my goal for these is to fully use it up - seems easy, but these little babies take forever to get through! I'm using these basically every day, so I'm making slow but sure progress with these; but, I'm still sure they will be done by the end of the year!

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder ~ $51.00 CAN. A lightweight, easy-to-apply, loose powder that blends effortlessly to set makeup for up to 12 hours.
This is an older powder in my collection too and it's pretty big, so it's going to take a while to get through! I have probably about 1/3 left of the powder, but again I tend not to reach for loose powders so it's time to get this moving out if my collection and my goal is to finish it up.
I just rolled this product in April and I've been reaching for this pretty often - I still have a fair bit of this left and it didn't really go down at all from last time. I need to pick up my use a little bit more if I want to finish this by December, but I will try!
Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Highlighting Powder in CandleLight ~ $53.00 CAN. A sheer, opalescent highlighting powder that works to illuminate features with a subtle glow.
This is a highlighter that made my Monthly Favourites back in July 2016 and it was a pretty classic highlighter then! My goal was originally to hit pan on this highlighter - and I reached that goal in March! I was really excited to reach my goal and hit pan; but, I didn't want to stop using it so I'm going to keep this in the project a little longer and my stretch goal is to use this up.
I figure, I've been reaching goals well on other products so this is okay to keep around and perhaps go for a stretch goal of finishing this up! It's slowly falling apart as it broke a while ago, so I want to get some good use out of it - I've been using it as a highlighter as well as a base shadow!
MAC Cosmetics Eye Brows in "Spiked" ~ $21.00 CAN. Self-propelling, self-sharpening, and brow-defining. This pencil will add everything you need: shape, colour and/or density in one streamlined tool. Like a pen, it creates its own just-right point for striking arches. It's also the perfect pencil to take on the go- no sharpener needed!
I got this in a subscription box back in 2017 and it's okay - the brow pencil itself works fine, but I really prefer a brow product with a spoolie on the end and I dislike a product that you cannot twist back down. Drives me crazy - I'm actually worried that I'm going to do my makeup and I'm going to get one brow done and then boom, no more product left. I've used this fairly consistently over the past two months, with the exception of the time I was away from the house, because I just can't take the idea that this could be finished any day when I don't have back-ups!

My goal is to use this product up, and I have no idea how long it will take - I actually have no way to measure this (I don't have a scale), so it will be a total surprise! I just want to move my older brow products that are just okay out of my collection!
Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer ~ travel size (full size is $32.00 CAN). This gentle, lightweight, oil, fragrance and paraben free formula keeps your eye shadow picture-perfect and crease-free from day to night.
This eye primer came in a set with the original Lorac Pro palette that I got back in 2016 (I've actually already decluttered that palette) so this is getting old! My goal is to use it up; but, I find eye primers really hard to use up!
I will try and use this every day, so even though I'm only using a little bit of it, I should be able to hopefully finish it up (I have just over half of it left!) I've been using it pretty consistently and you can see some progress!
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Color Correct Cushion Wonder in "Peach" ~ $6.98 CAN. This color-correcting serum instantly provides weightless color correction of any skin coloration concern. Packaged in a tube with a cushion tip, no additional tools are needed! Blend into your skin to target and CORRECT your skin concerns in 1 simple step!
I got this back in 2017 and this was a game-changer in my concealer routine - this made my Best of Makeup back in 2017! And, then I started trying a bunch of new concealers and this one got pushed to the back, so I haven't reached for it in a while. Since I've added this to my project, I've used it pretty consistently and made some good progress.

My goal is to use this up - it is still a good formula, but it is a really messy applicator and it is getting old, so time to use it up!
ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Weenie ~ $5.00 US. A pinky rose gold in a Pearlized finish.
I picked this up back in June 2016 and it's from a past KathleenLights Where The Night Is collection and this is a really gorgeous colour. My goal for this shadow is to hit pan on it!
I just rolled this in on the last update after replacing another supershock shadow that I wasn't using - I have used this a couple of times over the past two months and do think I will be able to reach my goal on this soon!
And, since I used up 2 products and am tossing 1, I do have 3 new products that I'm introducing to the project:
Paula's Choice Soothing Primer Serum SPF 30 ~ $30.00 US. A multi-tasking primer that softens and smooths skin with a formula that features antioxidants and broad-spectrum SPF 30, resulting in a flawless, makeup-ready complexion.
I really loved this primer last year - it made my favourites in June 2019 and I typically use it in the Summer because of the added SPF. I really want to use this up because it does have SPF in it and and it does have an expiry date!
I added this in after I used the Hard Candy primer up in early July and I have used it most days since! I think I've made some really good progress on this and I still have a lot to go, so I'm hoping I can use this up by the end of the year!

I picked up this foundation earlier this year to compare to it to the original Estee Lauder double wear foundation - you can see the comparison and this foundation on me here. This formula is described as "matte reimagined" and for me it's just okay - I find it can look a little powdery and slightly dry on me. It's not terrible, but it's just something I want to use up as it's not my most favourite formula, but it's still good and I think while I'm wearing lighter makeup, this is a good time to use it up.
My goal for this foundation is to use it all up. I just introduced this on this update and haven't even started using it - but, I am hoping if I use it regularly that I will be able to meet my goal!
Tarte Sea Quench Lip Rescue Balm in Nude ~ deluxe size (full size is $26.00 CAN). Soothing, hydrating lip balm with a sheer tint.
I am replacing the ColourPop Lippie Stix with this Tarte Lip Rescue balm - I got this as a deluxe sample a long time ago and recently pulled this out to start using it. It is a nice gentle formula with a good tint and tinted lip balm is basically my go-to lip product.
My goal for this product is to finish it up. This is a fairly small product; but, I think it's a much more reasonable goal than a full size lipstick for me to use up.
I am happy I have reached my goal on 11 products now - I'm just over halfway done my goal with 4 months left of the project! I still have a long way to go, but I feel like I have quite a few products I'm very close to my goal on!
I am excited to see my progress and am doing updates every two months, so my next update is in October!
