BREAKING NEWS: PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN SACKS INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE SULEIMAN ABBA

President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Suleiman Abba with immediate effect and replaced him with DIG Solomon Arase as Acting Inspector General of Police.
The announcement came via a tweet from President Goodluck Jonathan's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati.
IGP Suleiman Abba, was the 17th indigenous Inspector- General of Police and was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan. He formally took over from former IGP, MD Abubakar on August 1, 2014.
