• Cathy Horyn is the latest of the fashion set to pen a tribute to the late L’Wren Scott. In the moving New York Times obit, Horyn speaks fondly of her friend, but also provides some insight into what was going on with Scott’s label towards the end of her life. L’Wren cancelled her Fall 2014 show this season, citing production problems as the reason for skipping. But, according to Horyn, it turns out that Scott was planning on shutting down her label altogether, and would have announced it today. “Still, as painful as the decision must have been for her,” she added, “I wouldn’t draw any conclusions from it about her state of mind.” (NYT)
