Biafine Emulsion Review

Biafine is a very famous French pharmacy product that has gained immense popularity because it’s a multipurpose product and can be used in different ways. I had read somewhere that a majority of French women carry this product in their handbag! A few days ago, when I had a chance to pick something from France, I wanted only Biafine! To know what makes Biafine a must-have product for French women, you have to scroll down and read the whole review 😛

My Experience with Biafine Emulsion:

First thing to mention, I have been gifted this huge tube of Biafine which I think would last me for like eternity 😛 Biafine has been around for 25 years now and it’s an ointment that was formulated to treat severe burn wounds. It slowly gained popularity because of its ability to treat dry and scaly skin, but it can be used in a hell of a lot of ways than you can imagine.

This emulsion is white in color and there’s a very peculiar fragrance to it. There’s no added scent to it and that’s not a pleasant one, but people who do not like artificial fragrance in their skin care products, will appreciate it.

I can’t even begin to tell you the many different ways you can use Biafine. You can use it as a night cream and wake up with well-hydrated and supple skin. You can use it on your lips when you can’t find your chapstick.

After I use anti-acne ointments, my skin becomes extremely irritated, dry, and flaky and any skincare stuff stings like hell at that stage, and that’s when Biafine comes to my rescue.  It soothes my skin immediately and clears away all dry patches. It does not sting at all!

It gets absorbed into the skin immediately without leaving any residue or sheen behind.  I use it as a moisturizer nowadays.  Also, I can wear it under my makeup because it does not feel heavy at all.

Biafine is exceptional because not only does it soothe and calm my skin, as promised, it stimulates cell regrowth too. It does not work on acne scars or pigmentation. I feel it’s a really good skincare product that you need to just have in your bag!

Pros of Biafine Emulsion:

  • Soothes and calms dry and irritated skin.
  • Moisturizes and hydrates skin.
  • Does not break out sensitive skin.
  • Can be used as a night cream.
  • Treats rashes, sunburns, etc.
  • For all skin types.

Cons of Biafine Emulsion:

  • None! Because it does everything and more!
