Remember some adage about when spring comes a young mans thoughts turn to love? Or sumthin kinda sorta like that. It could be but why is when spring comes a woman's thoughts turn to cleaning? I thought I had everything in the cabin work shop pretty well cleaned up until sweetthing got started this morning. Now I have a trailer full to take to the landfill. She has had me swinging a feather duster in the corners and on the knick knack dust collectors for the past two days and now she starts in MY territory. Hell, I was putting stuff back as 'bout as fast as she was hauling it out. "NO, sweetthing, THAT IS MY GOTDAM SHOP VAC! NO, I HAVE NOT USED IT IN SIX MONTHS OR MAYBE A YEAR BUT DON'T THROW IT AWAY! Not my extra circular saw, GOTDAMIT!
Now I have to admit that I am a pack rat. Before I will throw away a burnt out electric fan I salvage the cord and most of the screws and nuts and bolts. Damn stuff costs money if you have to go buy them. I have enough hand tools to start a auto mechanic in business and carpenter tools to build a house and lawn tools that would keep a couple of Mexicans busy in the yard cleaning/cutting business. And she is probably correct in that I probably will never use most of them ever again. But, damn sweetthing! That ain't no reason to throw the stuff away and no, I am NOT going to have a yard sale to get rid of it. You can do that after I croak. I won't even let her in my fishing tackle room.
